Job Summary:
Teach courses in the Chemistry Program, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and actively participates in College initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a Master’s Degree in any field with a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in chemistry.
Experience in teaching chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of college level chemistry teaching.
Experience teaching courses across the chemistry discipline.
Experience in curriculum developmental and improvement.
Leadership experience.
